Travis Kelce Gave A Sentimental Gift To Swift, Tying Him To The Popstar
It seems like Taylor Swift has Travis Kelce wrapped around her finger. While Kelce could not make it to the 34th star-studded birthday bash of her girlfriend in New York City last week, fans believe that he is making things up with a special gift.
The photos shared by the pop superstar show her wearing a huge pear-shaped opal ring, which is surrounded by a ring of small stones that looks like London blue topazes. Karly Bulinski, a Rare Caret genologist, informed Page Six about it.
The opal is the birthstone of Kelce, while Swift’s birthstone is a blue topaz. This makes it a very sentimental birthday gift and is also a symbolic nod to their relationship. The gemstone has other meanings than being just their birthstones. Bulinski says, “Opal is said to represent hope and purity, while blu topaz is said to help channel your inner wisdom.”
Bulinksi says the Swift’s opal ring is almost 20 carats which could mean that the custom price could be upto $10,000. But The Diamond Pro, Mike Fried is saying that the piece could be worth a lot more. He told Page Six, “The center stone on Taylor’s ring is massive and looks to be 15 carats. A high-quality opal of that size is incredibly rare but not nearly as expensive as a diamond would be. I’d estimate it at around $175,000, if not more.”
He further added, “Since ancient times, opals have symbolized good luck, fortune, and power — which seems to be particularly fitting for Taylor Swift.” according to Fried, the halo could be made from different blue gemstones, but most likely those are tanzanite or zircon.
Even before the couple confirmed anything bout their relationship, Swift was seen wearing an opal necklace which hinted at their romance.
