Update On Jonathan Majors Assault Trial: SUV Driver Testifies Against Grace Jabbari
Jonathan Majors, best known for portraying Kang in MCU’s Loki series, is currently standing trial in Manhattan Criminal Court for a domestic violence case. Majors’ assault trial has just entered its second week, and there has been a major update.
On Monday, Naveed Sarwar, the driver of the SUV where the alleged fight between Majors and his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari took place over a text message, took the stand and shared his recollection of what happened that night. He spoke in the stands through an Urdu interpreter.
While talking about the Creed III actor, Naveed said, “He was not doing anything.” But when asked about Jabbari, he said, “She was doing everything.”
Elaborating on his statement further, Naveed told the jury that he “had a feeling the girl had hit the boy … because of the way that she was fighting, and the sounds produced.” The driver testified to the effect that Grace Jabbari asked Majors for his phone and said, “The girl became very angry.” He also mentioned that the MCU actor was “trying to get rid” of Grace Jabbari.
SUV driver Naveed Sarwar’s testimony in court on Monday was in sharp contrast to what opening statement made by prosecutors and defense lawyers. According to prosecutors, the driver had previously said that Majors threw Jabbari “like a football.” On the other hand, Majors’ defense lawyers stated that the driver said that Jonathan’s ex-girlfriend Grace is a “psycho-girl.” Owing to an alleged fight between Jonathan Majors and his ex-partner Grace Jabbari in March 2023, the actor is currently facing charges of third-degree assault causing physical injury, third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury, and aggravated harassment in the second degree.
